We are delighted that you are considering Kings’ School Dubai for your child. Our admissions team is here to guide you through every stage of the process, from your initial enquiry to joining our school community.
Begin Your Kings’ Journey
We welcome applications throughout the year. As demand for places is high, families are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Our admissions team will be happy to advise on year group availability, entry requirements and the next steps for your child.
Kings’ School Dubai is generally in high-demand. Waiting lists for certain age groups may be closed for admissions during an academic year. Where places are not immediately available, families may be offered a place on the waiting list or guided towards future entry opportunities.
If the year group you want to apply for is not available at our campus, you may choose to apply at our group schools Kings’ School Nad Al Sheba and Kings’ School Nad Al Barsha.

Age Cut Off
Year group placement is determined by your child’s date of birth and the KHDA-approved age cut-off dates. Our admissions team will help you identify the appropriate year group for your child and guide you through any documentation required for entry.
Age-appropriate assessments are carried out to assess suitability for a challenging curriculum and ability to integrate with existing cohorts.
Registration for 2026-27
For more information, please refer to the Admission Age Guide issued by the Ministry of Education.
*For Year 3 and above the required year group will be based on your child’s transfer/leaving certificate from their previous school, if coming from abroad.
Assessment
Assessments help us understand each child’s learning profile, strengths and readiness for entry.
The assessment process may vary depending on the age and stage of the child. Our team will explain what is required and ensure that families and students feel supported throughout the process.
- Each applicant must have the necessary academic qualifications, fulfil the schools’ admissions criteria and pass the Schools’ assessment process
- FS1 and FS2: play based observational assessments (we look at communication, interaction and the ability to follow instructions)
- Years 1-2, one to one teacher led assessments are conducted
- Years 3-6: computer based Cognitive Ability Test (CAT) and a written task. Each online test is appropriate to the age of the child and will take approximately two hours.
